Limno Consulting officially attended its first scientific symposium in August 2012 with an oral presentation at the International Symposium on Aquatic Plants held in Poznań, Poland. The presentation was on a new index of spatial overlap for submerged macrophytes coauthored by Limno Consulting's Paola Lombardo and NIVA's Marit Mjelde. Selected presentations will be included in a special issue of Hydrobiologia, with publication expected in late 2013. The Symposium was cosponsored by the European Weed Research Society (EWRS) and the Working Group on Macrophytes of the International Society on Limnology (SIL).
